TEACHING AT SUNY ORANGE

Following 9/11, I re-evaluated and re-prioritized my life. I decided that I wanted to do something to help and serve other people and my community. I'm having a wonderful life as a designer, and I want to “pay something forward.”

I began teaching Web Design at Orange County Community College in January 2002.

Teaching is wonderful for me, both personally and professionally. Rewriting the courses every semester keeps me current.

Mentoring and working with very creative young people renews and augments my own creativity.

Currently, students are taking class notes by building a "notebook" HTML website. They're learning by doing, using both sides of their brains, and creating beauty by writing computer code displaying their own art to best advantage.
