Traditionally, web designers are artists who create the "look and feel" of a website in Photoshop, while web developers write the code to make the site appear and function on the web. I'm both web designer and web developer, a designer who creates by writing code.

I began teaching Design & Web Design at SUNY Orange in 2002, following 9/11, to give back to my community. I discovered that giving back to the community was good for me both personally & professionally: teaching kept me young, kept me current, and forced me to really learn web design in order to stay ahead of my talented and intelligent students.
